This kinetic sculptures is made of three loose elements, standing on top of each other simply through balance. The two top elements can independently rotate full circle.
I'm not sure how to categorize these sculptures. They are kinetic, the individual parts move. Maybe call them stabiles. They are standing mobiles. I haven't seen any like them anywhere and I'm quite excited about them.

About

I'm a sculptor specializing in modern art mobiles and hanging kinetic art commissions. My work has been featured at New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park and at galleries, shops, businesses, events and public spaces in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, South Carolina, Texas, New Mexico and Oregon, and in many private residences in the US as well as internationally in Japan, Australia, France, Germany and Switzerland.

I also make music. To date, I have two albums out, Design In Quick Rotation (2007) and Laptop Campfire Speed (2010), both of them generating a genuine buzz in the music blogosphere. My music can also be heard in a number of commercials such as for clothing companies Rip Curl and Billabong.

I was born in Chicago, grew up in Switzerland, moved to Brooklyn, NY for eight years, and live now in Portland, Oregon with my wife and our two sons.
