Custom Scupltures made from recycled metal by my friend Tom Samui


My elementary and middle school friend Tom Samui from Switzerland makes these custom sculptures (up to 26 feet/8 meter tall!) out of recycled car and motorcycle pieces. More info and images are over here.

About

I'm a sculptor specializing in modern art mobiles and hanging kinetic art commissions. My work has been featured at New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park and at galleries, shops, businesses, events and public spaces in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, South Carolina, Texas, New Mexico and Oregon, and in many private residences in the US as well as internationally in Japan, Australia, France, Germany and Switzerland.

I also make music. To date, I have two albums out, Design In Quick Rotation (2007) and Laptop Campfire Speed (2010), both of them generating a genuine buzz in the music blogosphere. My music can also be heard in a number of commercials such as for clothing companies Rip Curl and Billabong.

I was born in Chicago, grew up in Switzerland, moved to Brooklyn, NY for eight years, and live now in Portland, Oregon with my wife and our two sons.
